James was recommended to me by a friend and I'm really glad they did. When we first met James was really friendly and asked questions about me, what my experience with working was and what my goals were. He made me feel really comfortable and that he was interested in helping me achieve my goals and not just looking for another client. When discussing my goals he was realistic with what i could achieve in the time scales i had set while still keeping me motivated.
During our work out session he was very adaptive to my learning style and also some physical limitations i have, which again made me feel very safe and confident in his skills. What impressed me the most was his willingness to go that step further, checking in with me even when we weren't in a session and also providing tutorials that i could use myself in my own time.
I would highly recommend James to anyone who wants a trainer who is a good laugh but will also really push you to hit your goals and more.

I would recommend James to anyone wanting a personal trainer. I started with James for shoulder rehab after an operation and one of the first things he said to me was I could lift weights. Something I had never done before and doubted myself but with encouragement and training with James I started setting PB’s and then breaking them shortly after.
When I started with James my right shoulder affected my every day life. My background is teaching and it would stop me from writing on the board in class and now my right shoulder is better than ever, pain free and feels a lot stronger compared to before the operation and I know it is down to the exercises and stretches James introduced me to.

I have used the services of James Pincott twice. Initially for a course of three training sessions and then for a course of ten training sessions.
I found James’ approach to be analytical in identifying what a client’s goals were, e.g. weight loss/weight gain, body tone, suppleness, etc. From there he was structured in designing a training regime that served to meet those needs, giving proper considering to a client’s limitations and abilities.
James is extremely knowledgeable in selecting the appropriate exercises to best obtain a client’s goals. He took time to explain what each stage of the programme was designed to achieve.
He employed all training techniques from relaxation, stretching, use of fixed equipment, and free weights.
His approach is always thorough and informative so that you are fully aware of the value that each exercise delivers rather than simply following a routine without knowing what benefit is being obtained.
